A limerick in honor of Mothers Day

A hard-working mother named May
Had very little time for play
Although she worked very hard
Her disposition was not marred
So she felt very pleased every day

Your scansion limps here and there: may I suggest a metrically correct version?

A hard-working mother named May
Had hardly a moment for play.
Though she worked very hard,
Her good cheer was not marred,
So she felt very pleased every day.
